FOR HIM OR HER

-

– 12 Days of Christmas –

On the 12th day of Christmas, you can have a shopping spree with Paula Hurlock and friends for your last-minute gifts.

Hurlock opened up her home to local designers and artists to showcase and sell their beautiful pieces. This is her second instalment of the 12 Days of Christmas, which she started because she wanted to help her fellow creative souls in their ventures.

“I am originally from MoBay, and I remembered how much it cost to get into one of those markets or in Kingston. To put up a tent or rent facilities and then to find a place to stay, all your expenses can easily run you to $100,000. I wanted to help to alleviate some of this last year. So I invited a few friends to sell from my location,” she told Outlook.

Last year, it was just a few designers; this year, her friends encouraged her to expand from four to 12, making the event now 12 designers for 12 Days of Christmas. These include Paula Hurlock’s own Indigo Soul Jamaica for elegant and classy kaftans that are multifaceted, as they can be worn so many different ways. Then there is the ever-trendy TNT Fashions for signature accessories for every woman; the laid back and urban Mutumba; jewellery by Chrissy Coils; home decor by Au’Den Designs by Melissa Green; and the exemplary work of fine artist and author Shawn C. Ashman.

Today is the last day to take your pick and grab all your must-haves for that special someone or just to add that final piece to an already-fabulous gift.

While you enjoy the quaint shopping experience, you can also indulge your palate with a delightful experience of its own. Café Blondie will be on hand with a smoothies, coffee or sweet treats, and with a wonderful smile as well.

It is not too late. Just be there before 5 p.m.

12 Designers for 12 Days of Christmas is located at 19 Salisbury Ave, Barbican (access rear cottage via private road).
