Just Move It!
THE FIRST few weeks of the new year always inspires you to take action and resolve to get fit and be healthy!
On Saturday, January 13, Courts Jamaica offered a more meaningful and fun guide to living a holistic lifestyle with the kick-off of the workshop series ‘Let’s Get It Done — Healthy Living’ at Courts, Portmore.
Courts has partnered with the all-wellness powerhouse, Jamaica Moves, to host the ‘Healthy Living’ workshop series. Jamaicans will be encouraged to get their bodies right under the guidance of certified integrative nutrition health coach, Meisha-Gay Mattis Wilson.
‘Healthy Living’ will be held at select Courts locations each Saturday until March 17. The workshop series will offer comprehensive information on how to kick start weight loss, read nutritional labels, boost your immune system and energy levels, and reduce stress, all of which reduces the probability of developing certain non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and even some cancers.
According to Katasha Thompson, senior brand manager, “We offer our customers a great selection of fitness and wellness products that helps in maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle for the entire family. Through ‘Healthy Living’, we are taking it a step further; by truly bringing value to our customers and their families not just with great offers, but where it matters most — their health. We are giving customers more than just a great sale; we want to motivate persons to maintain a healthy lifestyle in 2018 and beyond.”
Customers will benefit from free eye screening, blood pressure, and blood glucose tests courtesy of Courts Optical. Courts has also sweetened the deal by offering special discounts.
Attendees can enter for a chance to be a winner of a Go-Fit Package or small home appliance at any of the workshops. Additionally, customers who participate can win the monthly prize of an Orbitrek Elliptical and Nutribullet. And one lucky customer will walk away with the grand prize of a Norditrack Treadmill plus a free two-month health coaching session from Bodhi.
The Healthy Living workshop series continues tomorrow at Courts, King Street starting at 10 a.m.
