WEEK 5 ROUND-UP
CAMPION COLLEGE and Jonathan Grant High started off week five of the Schools’ Challenge Quiz competition. The St Andrew-based Campion College took an early lead in the match-up. Jonathan Grant, which is based in St Catherine, played their best despite losing the match. At the end, Campion walked away with 55 points, while Jonathan secured 16 points.
The final match-up of the week is also worth mentioning, the contest took place between number 11 seed Manchester High School and number 54 seed St Mary’s College. What started out as a regular match in round one of this very exciting contest ended with much hurrah.
At the end of the first round, the score read Manchester on eight points and St Mary’s College five points. The Manchester team took advantage of the speed round to secure nine points in each section, bringing their score to 35 going into the buzzer section. So at the start of the final round, Team Manchester boasted a hearty 35 points to St Mary’s 15 points.
The very thrilling buzzer section was dominated by Manchester High; the final scores read St Mary’s College on 15 points, while Manchester secured a whopping 65 points, the highest score in the competition thus far.

• Friday 6:30 pm: (seeded 11) Manchester High 65 points vs (seeded 54) St Mary’s College 15 points.
