Beenie, Shenseea, Ding Dong for BRT
THE 2018 Beach Road Trip Weekend (BRT Weekend) Tour is all set, and all locations, dates, and artistes confirmed.
The first destination will be in the Dominican Republic, May 3 to 6, on Punta Cana’s beautiful beaches. The star-studded lineup features the best of Jamaica’s dancehall – Beenie Man, Ding Dong, and Shenseea, alongside Coppershot, Chromatic and other DJs.
Since the line-up and the weekend’s schedule were released, there has been a jump in ticket sales, especially from purchasers residing in Jamaica, Trinidad, and Turks and Caicos. This can be a result of there being no visa required to travel to the Dominican Republic from these islands.
“Since I been i n the US, I haven’t vacationed with one of my best friends from high school ... We are meeting up in DR,” said one BRT Weekend ticket winner, who is Jamaican-born, residing in Chicago, Illinois.
“We had to go back to Dominican Republic ... 2017 was great to us. The experience our Weekenders, DJs, and hosts had was amazing! It was our first year ... trust me, this year will be even better,” said Hans Mullings, BRT Weekend organiser.
Another addition to the Tour is BRT Weekend’s newest sponsor, VP Records.
VP Records has lots of surprise for all BRT Weekend guests. The 2018 Strictly the Best DJ Contest winner, Boyaka Smash, will also debut in the Dominican Republic.
