JORDAN FORTE

1. Which crowned two champions schools will and be state they’ll the run amount away with of points at the end I predict of the competition? Calabar to win their seventh title this straight year with Boys’ between Champs 350370 points and Edwin Allen to win their fifth straight Girls’ Champs title 300-350 points.

2. Which athlete are you excited to see perform and what matchup you find most interesting and why?

I’m excited to see World U18 400m champion Antonio Watson perform at Champs this year, and the matchup I’m looking forward to is the one in the Class 2 boys’ 400m which includes Watson, Evaldo Whitehorne from Calabar, Zidane Brown from Glenmuir and Ryiem Scott from Rusea’s.

3. What will be the biggest upset this year?

I think the biggest upset could come in the Class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles. Malik James-King of Calabar is the favourite in my eyes, but both Jevauney James from STETHS and Rovane Williams from Rhodes Hall could pull off upsets.

4. What records are on the line now and who could break or match it?

The Class 2 girls’ 100 and 200m records could be under threat by Edwin Allen’s Kevona Daivs. On the boys’ side, the Class 1 boys’ 400m hurdles record is definitely under threat. Also keep a close eye on the Class 1 800m record, which has stood for three decades, as it could be under threat.

Also the 4x400m record will mostly certainly go this year (barring a repeat of the GC Classic fiasco where Calabar may not be so lucky)

And the boys class 1 4x100m record is also likely to be broken if Calabar runs their strongest team.
