Reggae Sumfest announces 2018 line-up

REGGAE SUMFEST has announced its line-up for the 2018 staging, as the festival gets ready to feature the world’s top reggae and dancehall artistes.

Friday night (July 20) is the ultimate dancehall takeover with both emerging and iconic lyricists, i ncluding Popcaan, Aidonia, Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Spice, Tommy Lee Sparta, Agent Sasco, Ding Dong, I-Octane, Stonebwoy, and more.

Saturday night (July 21) will feature showstoppi­ng performanc­es from reggae’s biggest names like Damian ‘Jr Gong’ Marley, Beres Hammond, Maxi Priest, Cham, Capleton, Raging Fyah, Jesse Royal, J Boog, and many more.

Reggae Sumfest’s weeklong takeover begins Sunday, July 15, with a variety of action-packed pre-parties and events before the climax of the two-day music festival. The list of festivitie­s include: Sumfest Colour-Fest Beach Par ty at Tropical Bliss Beach (Sun, July 15); Sumfest Street Dance on the Hip Strip in Montego Bay (Mon, July 16); All White Par ty at Pier One Restaurant and Bar (Tues, July 17); The Blitz ‘All Black’ Party – venue TBD (Wed, July 18); The Inspire Awards at Iberostar Hotel (Thu, July 19); Reggae Sumfest Presents Irish & Chin’s World Clash 20th Anniversar­y at Pier One Event Centre (Thu, July 19); Sumfest Symposium at Montego Bay Conference Centre (Fri, July 20); Sumfest Festival Night 1 at Catherine Hall Event Centre (Fri, July 20); Sumfest Festival Night 2 at Catherine Hall Event Centre (Sat, July 21); and Sumfest Medz ‘ Tailgate’ Par ty at Dump -Up Beach (Sun, July 22).
