Two St Elizabeth teams, Black Stars and St Bess, as well as Vere United of Clarendon, have clinched semi-final spots in the Charley’s/JB Rum South Central Super League.

Black Stars finished first overall and top of preliminary-round Zone One after outscoring Old Harbour Bay FC 3-2. They ended on 35 points from 14 games after recording a season high of 11 wins, two draws and just one defeat. The team they lost to – Tru-Juice – will not be among the semi-final package.

Vere finished second and copped a place in their first season at this level. They ended their fixture with an 18-1 win over the already relegated Downs of FC. Old Harbour Bay were edged out by three points.

St Bess FC topped the second preliminary group despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Rivoli, who finished a disappointing fifth in the group. The final place is likely to be taken by Dunbeholden, who have an aborted game against York Town to continue. They lead that contest 5-0 after 35 minutes of first-half action. Dunbeholden actually sneaked into contention after denting the chances of Holland Police Youth Club (PYC) 2-0.

The rest of the results saw Sporting Central Academy FC trouncing Greenvale Academy 5-0, Real Treasure Beach FC getting the better of Moores FC of Clarendon 2-0, and York Town brushing aside Hillstars of Manchester 3-0.
