The adventure arrives with ‘Sandy, Tosh and the Moo Cow’

-

RENOWNED MEDIA personality Paula-Anne Porter-Jones will be off to a brand new adventure on Sunday with the launch of her debut children’s picture book – Sandy, Tosh and the Moo Cow.

The launch of this exciting new work will take place at the St Andrew Parish Library on Tom Redcam Drive.

Sandy, Tosh and the Moo Cow follows an early, morning adventure of Tosh and his older, more responsible sister, Sandy. The two embark on a journey that takes them up and down the roads in their neighbourhood in search of the elusive ‘moo cows’, whose sounds awakened them in the morning. Along the way, they stumble upon plants and animals of all shapes and colours and find a little more adventure than they bargained for.

The striking, colourful images, as well as the idea of finding adventure right in your backyard, are sure to stir up the wonder and imagination of young readers and bring back memories for parents as they read along.

Celebrated poet and author Olive Senior (Anna Carries Water and Summer Lightning) had high praises for the book saying, “Kids will love this tale of where an early-morning adventure can lead, and the lively illustrations add to the fun,” she said.

The book also received positive reviews from famed children’s author Jean D’Costa (Escape to Last Man Peak and Sprat Morrison). “A delightful story that views the ordinary, everyday world through the eyes of children. Big sister Sandy and eager little brother Tosh discover life outside the four walls of their home, beyond the fence that keeps some things inside and other things outside. You’ll be happy to go with them for the adventure!”
