- Rocheda Bartley/ Lifestyle Writer

THE ITALIAN Job woos taste buds with surprising exotic and delicious meals from the romantic Mediterranean country. It’s owned by bike racer Gianmaria Pedroli, who masters his family gift of fine culinary artistry.

The eight-year-old bistro, with its soothing, cool and mesmerising atmosphere is anchored in the heart of Port Antonio, and is committed to transforming your typical eating and dining experience into an extraordinary experience worth every dollar. Its theme of a blend of Jamaican and Italian aesthetic features will heighten your experience. “I came here on vacation in 2010 and I saw that Port Antonio is very beautiful, but it was lacking in a variety of food, and as an Italian, after a few days of rice and peas and chicken, I realised Port Antonio needed something different,” Pedrolio told Food.

All foodies with adventurous taste buds should be in queue at the Italian restaurant for a bite of some of the most exquisite and tantalising meals that will have your mouth watering for more.

VARIETY

With a variety of scrumptious meals, including the restaurant’s signature linguine with clams, lobster, shrimp, mussels, calamari and fried diced tomatoes, you will be transported to heaven and back. “You should come to the Italian Job if you want something that is not average. The food is great and you will find that the difference between Jamaican and Italian foods is in the flavours. Jamaican food is very spicy and almost aggressive, but Italian food is not as spicy and you will taste all the ingredients in the meals.”
