History-making cast of top models
Jamaica’s top models from Saint International have been making head-turning appearances in recent advertising campaigns for iconic fashion brands such as Balmain, Polo Ralph
Lauren, Balenciaga, and Vivienne Westwood and walking the international runways for the Fall-Winter 2018 collections of influential designers and labels such as Lanvin, Off White, Maison Margiela, Giorgio Armani,
Wales Bonner, Michael Kors, Coach, Prada, Valentino, and Dries Van Noten.
With the 18-year old modelling agency founded and operated by Deiwght Peters hailed by Vogue as the region’s pre-eminent ‘model maker’, it’s all boxes checked for the most accomplished year.
“We’re rolling on a high right now, with the Saint army continuing to make big moves and earn the respect of leading industry brands across the world,” an enthused Peters shared.
“Our marquee star, Tami
Williams, was unveiled as a star of Balmain’s Spring-Summer
2018 ad campaign and recently worked with
Spanish Vogue twice, and she is making another
Chanel appearance soon.
She is in Spain as she
continues to work with her Spanish clients Zara and Mango.” He added, “Our new face, Haytal Blackwood, was also exclusively booked from Jamaica (by Saint) for the Gucci show in Milan. I have also confirmed her for several other high-profile gigs, which will make her another global sensation from the Saint camp.” Bucking industry norms, the men of Saint have also made major strides, with Brad Allen copping a Polo Ralph Lauren ad campaign. Newcomers Kimali Morgan, Aakesh Henderson, and Jodanne Wellington were booked from Jamaica exclusively for Balenciaga’s show in March. Jermaine Downer’ star continues to rise with appearances for Vogue Hommes, Man About Town, among others. Starboy Jonny Brown landed an advertising campaign for Nordstrom (launching as a memorable wrap of The New York Times) and doing runway duties for Prada, Coach, Berluti, and Maison Margiela.
The models are slated to walk for an impressive list of designers unveiling womenswear and men’s wear at the four StyleWeek events – Posh In Black, French Elan, International Mecca of Style, and Fashion Block. Among them will be Kevin Obrian, Greta Constantine, Caffrey Van Horne, Coco Johnsen, Andrew Ramroop, Courtney Washington, Heather Laine, Spokes Apparel, Neah Lis, Kadian Nicely, Karlene Nina Levy, and TNT Fashions and many more.
