TVJ’s WCup party hits Half Way Tree
THE TVJ/TVJ-SN & HITZ 92FM World Cup Kick Off Party begins in style at Mandela Park in Half Way Tree today. The action starts at noon and continues until 7 p.m.
“We will be bringing the excitement of the World Cup with a number of activities,” Natonia Sylva, marketing and sales manager, Television Jamaica Limited and Cable Services, told The Gleaner yesterday.
“We will broadcast (the World Cup) live on TVJ and TVJ Sports Network. For persons who missed out we will also have highlights of the matches for the day,” she added. “TVJ will provide pre- and post-game coverage of the World Cup and this will feature several top analysts. We will also have giveaways including television sets.”
Today’s activities include, One-on-one cage football, ball juggling competition and an eight-point shoot-out.
There will also be a FIFA E-Zone with football-themed video games and World Cup-themed face painting (country colours, country flags).
There will be an entertainment package featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Jessie Royal, Twins of Twins, Bling Dawg, Jermaine Brown (TVJ/HITZ Sports) and Dwayne Extol (TVJ/HITZ Sports).
