JAMAICA PRE-MIX (JPM) Limited has been the leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete in Jamaica for over 50 years. Incorporat­ed in 1959, the company boasts five fixed concrete plants, 61 concrete mixer trucks and 12 concrete boom pumps.

JPM’s plants are strategica­lly located across the island, from Kingston in the east to Negril in the west, for customer convenienc­e. The fixed batching plants are equipped with computeris­ed, state-of-the-art batch management systems and fully equipped laboratori­es for the testing of concrete. Additional­ly, there are portable concrete-batching plants capable of handling on-site jobs regardless of the location.

We offer a comprehens­ive product range, which includes:

■ 1,500psi to 6,000psi ready-mixed concrete (with over 150 mix designs)

■ lightweigh­t concrete

■ coloured concrete

■ air-entrained concrete

■ underwater concrete

■ fibre concrete

■ waterproof concrete

■ Pumping Service

Since our incorporat­ion, we have made our mark throughout the length and breadth of Jamaica, undertakin­g wide-ranging projects in just about every sector. Some of the major projects we have poured for include the Ritz Carlton, the Riu Hotels, Life of Jamaica’s twin towers, the Digicel building, Highway 2000, the Half-Way Tree Transporta­tion Centre, the Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium, the Montego Bay Convention Centre, the expansion of the Norman Manley and Sangster’s internatio­nal airports, the Faculty of Law, medical sciences building and student residences at the University of the West Indies, the United States Embassy, and numerous housing schemes.

Jamaica Pre-Mix Concrete Limited has been a responsibl­e corporate citizen and has donated concrete to several causes. These include the Brown’s Town Infant School (to repair their main access road), a resident of Salt Marsh, Trelawny, whose house was destroyed by fire, to slab the roof of her newly constructe­d dwelling, and the cricket pitch of Calabar Primary. Jamaica Pre-Mix is also a major sponsor of the Tarrant Basic School.
