AJIMMY Buffett Margaritaville- themed cake, dressed with a parrot head, swaying palm tree, beach volleyball, coconut shell, and a bottle of California wine, completed the ‘Jamaica Farewell’ ushering Scott and Tricia Robbins on their journey to Orlando, Florida.

The couple, who have taken up residence in the western US state, were fêted and toasted by some of their closest friends and their ‘Ochi Massive’ posse, last Saturday night at the Glass House in Mammee Bay, St Ann.

BEACH PARTY AFFAIR

The beach party affair saw many who have come to be known as family, tearing up easily, although as Scott Robbins puts it, “Orlando is merely one hour and 20 minutes away, quicker than a drive to Kingston, and we have a spare bedroom in our house for all of you”.

American by birth, Robbins, who has a heart of gold, has lived in Jamaica for the last 20 years, making his way up the ladder at a number of renowned resorts including the former RitzCarlton Rose Hall, Wyndham Rose Hall, Hilton Rose Hall, and his final Jamaican property, Jewel Runaway Bay, where he served as general manager.

It was while in Montego Bay that he met and fell in love with soulmate, Tricia, the magic in this union.

The two got married 17 years ago and are proud parents of a beautiful daughter by the name of Bridget.

Tricia Robbins speaking of how blessed she and her family were, said, “Lawd, imagine I come to Ochi knowing one person and leave with multiple families. I am so blessed”.

Scott Robbins will manage the next Margaritaville Resort in Orlando, which is currently under construction.

The project is a massive one, encompassing a waterpark, shopping centre, restaurants, and a hotel.
