A remarkable transformational journey
ON BEHALF of the Board of Directors of the South East Regional Health Authority, I extend congratulations to the Linstead Public Hospital as it celebrates 100 continuous years of service to the public.
The Linstead Public Hospital has experienced a remarkable transformational journey since it was established. It has stood the test of time despite being closed in the early 1900s.
Today, thousands of people visit the hospital for treatment and care, which is evidence that the staff must be doing something right.
I would like to applaud the management and staff of the Linstead Public Hospital for the work they continue to do to restore good health and preserve life.
The Linstead Public Hospital is strategically positioned to ease the burden off the Spanish Town Hospital and to be the first point of contact during medical emergencies for the citizens of Linstead. Therefore, it is crucial that we constantly strive to keep pace with the demands for optimal healthcare services.
And we have done just that through the implementation of various improvement projects that we are confident will further increase our capacity to provide safe, highly advanced and patientfriendly medical care to the public.
I believe that the Linstead Public Hospital has earned a welldeserved reputation of being a beacon of healthcare in Linstead, which demonstrates the rich history and tradition of providing hope and healing for people from all walks of life.
As we celebrate the many accomplishments along the way, we must look to the future with a renewed commitment to strive to take quality healthcare delivery to new heights.
