Clickmarket rebrands as Coolmarket

- Carl Gilchrist/Gleaner Writer

AFTER AN introductory period where Clickmarket established itself as the leading Jamaican online market, parent company, Cool Corporation has now renamed the entity Coolmarket, joining it with more than 20 companies under the Cool Corp umbrella.

“We changed our name to capitalise on one of the most recognisable brand names in Jamaica,” the company, with headquarters in Ocho Rios, St Ann, said in a release.

“The Cool brand is synonymous with value and long-standing success and we want to communicate this to each person who encounters Coolmarket. As Clickmarket, we delivered great service but our brand name wasn’t as recognisable. Now, our connection with the Cool Group is more readily discernible.”

The name change was celebrated with a new online shopping site and a massive 70 per cent off flash sale and huge benefits for shoppers and merchants alike.

With the new site, buyers are now experiencing enhanced user experience, enhanced security and more payment methods. Merchants are now able to manage their own online store with a unique URL to promote their products, along with increased advertising opportunities.

NEW SERVICES

Another exciting development with the new Coolmarket site is the addition of two new services. First, customers are now able to purchase gas vouchers via Coolmarket, which are redeemable at any of the company’s Cool Oasis service stations islandwide. The other new service is the ability to purchase cell phone credit, using the site’s top-up system.

“All of the changes we’ve made to become Coolmarket culminate in one single thing - more value for the Jamaicans who do business with us, whether as buyers or sellers. We sell thousands of products at affordable prices, and we add more every single day. Our online marketplace is one of a kind,” the company said.

Coolmarket caters to buyers and sellers in several categories including electronics, home, garden and tools, groceries, office and school supplies, health and beauty, baby, kids and toys, flowers and gifts, pet supplies, clothing, shoes and jewellery, and books.
