NEW MANAGEMENT

-

FORMED IN 2016, the aegis of the United Church Mission Enterprises (UCME) marked the start of a new management structure governing Meadowrest, and under the guidance of LeRoi Lorde. It also later heralded the initiation of a new Operations Manager, David Parkes, who now has assumed management for the cemetery.

With the UCME leadership, under the chairmanship of Courtney Campbell and CEO Ingrid Chambers now at the helm, the needsmeeting strategies, first started by LeRoi Lorde, have been further developed and enhanced.

With David Parkes initiating plans to further respond to customer desires or needs, new products and services have been put in place that it is perceived will certainly impact on the growth of the company by further building its customer base, building value, and enhancing the loyalty of its customers.

Accordingly, grief counselling to clients grieving the loss of their loved ones has been further enhanced through training of new counsellors so as to allow Meadowrest to be always able to respond to the call for a comforting word and guidance.

The unique Meadowrest Chapel, which represents an on-site facility enabling response to the need to offer clients the option of having their thanksgiving service and burial on-site, has had the addition of an above-ground columbarium. Responding to a growing expressed desire from an increasing number of persons for cremation and subsequent inurnment rather than burial. By positioning the columbarium within the chapel, Meadowrest, through the use of videography, now enables viewing of the inurnment live, as well as through live-stream by friends and relatives overseas.
