SAJ mounts advanced social media workshop

ON AUGUST 15, 2018, the Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) will continue its successful series of workshops with a muchanticipated workshop titled ‘Social Media Content Planning and Management’.

The training session, which is tailored for social media practitioners, will teach participants to use strategies to create value for their organisations.

Significant emphasis will be placed on development of appropriate content, tactical execution, and measurement of their social media posts. The participants in the workshop will also be exploring ways of using social media posts to achieve organisational goals, which is a key skill in the fastpaced world of sales and marketing.

The instructor will be Internet guru Dennis Brooks, who has participated in several highprofile social media forums in the last few years.

Brooks, who manages online content at Nationwide News Network, is a much-loved on-air news analyst, talk-show host, and a career teacher.

Since the last social media workshop held in February of 2017, past and prospective participants have been asking for an advanced course in this area and the SAJ is happy to be able to provide this opportunity to it members and the wider business community.
