Talent winner selected in Miss JA World 2018 Fast Track.

SHANIQUE SALMON, Miss Hilda’s Wine Jelly, delivered a moving rendition of Adele’s When We Were Young to walk away with the Phoenix Fast Track Talent event on Monday, August 20.

Amaya Lewis (Miss Autocraze) with a sensationa­l dance number and Tamaya Henry (Miss Absolute New York) with an original song, finished second and third respective­ly.

Salmon now joins Lewis as the first to advance to the top 10. Lewis claimed the Spartan Health Club Fast Track Fitness Challenge.

The Phoenix Fast Track Talent event saw the ladies participat­ing in a range of performanc­e pieces including dance, spoken word, song, and dramatic presentati­ons.

The contestant­s head to Sandals Internatio­nal in Montego Bay this weekend for the Fast Track Beach Beauty and Fast Track Model Events from August 24 to 26. The Kool 97FM Fast Track Beauty with a Purpose will be selected on August 29.

The Interlinc People’s Choice Competitio­n, is still open, giving the wider public an opportunit­y to vote for their favourite contestant. Voting is accessed through the official Miss Jamaica World website missjamaic­aworld.com.

Votes are limited to 15 per IP address daily.

The Miss Jamaica World 2018 Grand Coronation Spectacula­r, will take place on September 1 at the Ballroom of The Jamaica Pegasus hotel.
