School Model Search finals tomorrow

-

MONTHS, WEEKS and hours of learning, training and developing skills will come down to one moment for the contestants in the first Pulse School Model Search. Tomorrow, the question of who will take top honours and earn this inaugural title will be answered at the Pulse Centre on Trafalgar Road. Caribbean Model Search (CMS) titles in the Petite, Male and Fashion categories are also up for grabs, with the top groups getting yet another chance to shine as they go on to compete in the CMS reality-TV show.

The competitors from the schools have come from all across Jamaica, and the eager teenagers are keen to take hold of the life-changing opportunity that will give them and their schools the exclusive accolade of being the first to write a new chapter in the history of another Pulse innovation.

GRAND PRIZE

The prize is a guaranteed modelling contract with Pulse and the chance to step into the world of international fashion. Model scouts from one of the world’s leading agencies, Women/Supreme Management, which has offices in New York, Milan and Paris, will decide which contestants they will represent. The only proviso is that whoever wins the title will have to complete high school before embarking on this new and exciting career opportunity.

However, nowhere is the intensity and competition more evident than in the final days of rehearsals. Electric energy proliferates the air, and a fierce inter-school competitive spirit simmers under the surface with every practice turn the competitors take on to the runway.

The Pulse team is ensuring that the event meets expectations. All the hopefuls are ready to continue the tradition of excellence of those who have gone before them. The illustrious list includes Kimberley Mais, Angella Neil, Lois Samuels, Justine Willoughby, Parisa Fitz Henley, Nikki Vassel, Carla Campbell, Sanya Hughes, Nell Robinson, Nadine Willis, Jaunel Mc Kenzie, Sedene Blake, Jeneil Williams, Gaye Mc Donald, Oraine Barrett, Shalisha Stewart and Miqueal- Symone Williams.

GUEST APPEARANCES

Pulse Vogue model Francine James, a past winner of the CMS title, and Zoe Griffith, one of the agency’s latest international recruits, will make appearances. Pulse superstar and top-50 earner in the modelling world Alicia Burke, along with agency colleagues Jeneil Williams and Oraine Barrett, will appear by satellite. Popular DJ Chi Ching Ching will be the musical guest.
