1970:defending Camperdown holds

Manning Cup football champions Excelsior to a goalless draw in the feature match of a double-header at the National Stadium. This draw puts Excelsior up to seven points from four matches, one point ahead of Kingston College, who have played three matches. Excelsior, who never looked like defending champions, are at times completely outplayed by Camperdown. Camperdown offer a faster and more constructi­ve game, while Excelsior only manage to take a few shots to goal because they are unable to get themselves settled. 1997:cancer Drugs required by

Vice-President Pauline Brown, herself a cancer survivor, says “there is the fear of rejection by one’s family and friends, fear of losing your job, (but above all) there is the fear of death as many cannot afford the medication”.
