Boyz poised for another big Nations League win

-

JAMAICA’S REGGAE Boyz will be seeking their second win in the 2018 CONCACAF Nations League when they face lowly Bonaire in Curaçao at 5 p.m. today.

The Theodore Whitmorecoached Boyz slammed Cayman Islands 4-0 at the National Stadium on September 9 in their opening match and are expected to score another handsome victory against a team that has conceded 19 goals in their last four matches while scoring just five. In their opening match of the CONCACAF Nations League, Bonaire were drubbed 5-0 at home by the Dominican Republic.

Jamaica travelled to Curaçao last Thursday with a very experienced squad, and although the team had just three training days, they should score an even bigger victory than the one at home.

Main marksmen Darren Mattocks and Cory Burke are in the squad. Both forwards were on target twice against The Cayman Islands and could score another handful of goals against Bonaire. Mattocks has scored 10 times for DC United in American Major League Soccer while Burke has slammed in nine for the Philadelphia Union.

SQUAD: Andre Blake, Amal Knight, Jeadine White, Michael Hector, Darren Mattocks, Cory Burke, Je-Vaughn Watson, Peter Vassell, Owayne Gordon, Damion Lowe, Ricardo Thomas, Alex Marshall, Ricardo Morris, Javon East, Fabian Reid, Jamiel Hardware, Dane Kelly, Devon Williams, Fabion McCarthy, Shaun Francis.
