COK partners with Bill Express to increase convenienc­e for members

THE COK Sodality Co-operative Credit Union has partnered with Bill Express to increase access and improve the ease of convenienc­e in making transactio­ns for its islandwide customer base.

Under the terms of the agreement signed last Tuesday at the Trafford Place offices of Bill Express, a GraceKenne­dy subsidiary, in New Kingston, the entire range of COK transactio­ns, including loan payments, deposits, pension and insurance payments will be facilitate­d at any of Bill Express’ 200 locations including post offices across the island, Jamaica Public Service Company offices, or online via

Speaking at the signing of the agreement, COK CEO Aloun N’dombet Assamba noted her pleasure at the expanded reach the partnershi­p offers to COK members. She said that openness to change and innovation had allowed COK to grow organicall­y through innovative services to the point where it is the largest credit union in terms of membership in Jamaica and the Englishspe­aking Caribbean today, serving some 270,000 members in Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine, St Ann, Mandeville, Montego Bay and other parts of the island, as well as Jamaicans abroad in North America, the UK, the Cayman Islands and other Caribbean countries.

“Our partnershi­p is a natural fit and will be mutually beneficial as it reinforces both brands among our customer base,” Assamba said.

In her comments, CEO of GraceKenne­dy Money Services Michelle Allen expressed her satisfacti­on at the partnershi­p: “We are pleased to now have COK on board as one of our billers. This means that COK’s customers will now be able to do their transactio­ns at any of our more than 200 Bill Express locations.

“This is a perfect partnershi­p as Bill Express certainly has the reach in locations, not just through brick and mortar, but also online, and can only lead to increased growth for both of our brands.”
