Operations manager Isaac O’ Meally
His work ethic speaks volumes
ISAAC O’MEALLY is not shy in describing himself as a highimpact person. The TMP operations manager, still ‘newly minted’ after only a year in the seat, says that he is all about bringing the best results to any endeavour in which he is involved.
At TMP, he has a wide-ranging portfolio in which to prove those claims. “Everything from the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials to the maintenance of equipment to the delivery and installation to the customer is my remit,” he says. This naturally involves multitasking, and to be in his presence for even a short while is to be amazed and left with a sense of admiration as to the way in which O’ Meally deals with his myriad responsibilities in ensuring that TMP stays ahead of the competition.
He also has responsibility for the sales team and ensuring that established sales targets are met (or exceeded).
EASYGOING YET FOCUSED
Unfazed by the demands, the easygoing yet focused operations manager says that he takes care to relate personally to staff as well as to customers, for ‘without motivation, there is no achievement’. He is well aware that customers value a superior relationship and proven quality over price – ‘so long as the first two are consistently demonstrated’. To this end, he adds, “TMP scrutinises suppliers and products very carefully to ensure maximum quality at the best possible price and is similarly careful in getting optimum effort and performance from all staff”.
Within his short tenure, O’Meally has already had an impact on the company’s product range, having seen the addition of lumber and plyboard to go beyond the standard roofing and windows. “We recognise that if a customer is picking up a roofing order or a windows order and is likely to need lumber, then it is much easier for that customer to obtain everything from us than to go to different points all over town.”
Speaking of travels, O’Meally hails originally from the hilly community of Riversdale, St Catherine, but he now calls the neighbouring parish of St Mary home and is glad to get out of the Kingston bustle after a long but rewarding day’s work.
He’s looking for continued growth with TMP and to delivering on his always very ambitious goals.
