KC trusts in Qualcare

-

NUTRITION COMPANY Qualcare has stood by their word to extend their partnership with Kingston College’s (KC) senior team into the schoolboy football season with their shake drink, Intrust.

The initial sponsorship of the team started last summer during the preseason, and at that time, Intrust brand manager Danielle Wright said they intended to continue supporting the team during the Manning Cup season. Last Friday, they renewed the partnership and will continue to supply Kingston College with the highly fancied shake for the rest of the season.

“We sponsored the team with Intrust as their recovery drink for the preseason. We did that to build on the nutrition qualities of the athletes. Now we’ve done that, and they have done well, so we can only continue to enrich them,” Wright told The Gleaner following the presentation to the team at the school on Friday.

She also believes that the association will in turn help promote this product. “Intrust has been around since June. The shake itself is new here. So [KC], being a prominent high school and one that is doing exceptionally well, a lot of persons look up to them in terms of a good performance. That in itself will promote Intrust as you will see the benefits as it benefits the athletes,” she reasoned.

Head coach Ludlow Bernard said his boys have found the drink highly favourable and the benefits have been apparent. “The players look forward to it every evening. There is a strong likeness for the drink,” he said.

“It’s certainly supplementing our nutritional needs. Most of these boys will have a challenge getting a meal after school, and this supplement will go a far way in providing some of the nutrients and ingredients for them to maintain a good wellbeing. So it is indeed a welcome gesture,” he added.
