The Good Life Global Tour is finally here

THE GOOD Life Global Tour is set to make its final stop tonight at the Courtleigh Hotel in New Kingston, and your personal growth is its focus.

Hosted by Jamaica-born international award-winning entrepreneur Joan Good, the event, which will run until tomorrow, will focus on arming persons with the necessary wits to start and nurture exciting business ventures. Managing relationships, too, is one of the other topics that will take precedence, as a group of international and local business speakers and coaches, including relationship panellists will take over the nights.

“It’s going to be a great time of empowerment. It’s not about motivation because when you motivate people, that’s just for a particular moment, and then they’ll leave from where you are and do nothing. But we’re enabling people to be transformed,” she said.

The project, which started in May this year, is the first of its kind that Good has worked relentlessly to execute. It grew

out of her own experiences as an immigrant living in the United States of America, as she met difficulties securing employment.

Reminiscing on this period, she told Living, “We’ve seen so many leave Jamaica and had to do menial work because they can’t get jobs that match their qualification. I decided that it wouldn’t have been me. So, I did an analysis of my strengths and weaknesses and decided to invest in my strength and started a business. And this is what I want others to take away from the seminar – investing in their strengths.”

RICHES TO GAIN

Earlier, Good and her team made stops in various areas in the United States including Chicago and New York.

“We’re trying to cover all areas of gifts and talents in Jamaica. Lamman Rucker, Dr Nsombi Jaja, Deane Good and Terisha Bennett Lee are some of the persons I have lined up to talk to future and even those who already are business owners,” Good told Living.

Michele Jackson, Paulette Keane, Jo Buchannan, and Kerie ‘Kiki Thombs, are some of the relationship experts who will impart knowledge during the initiative.

GIVING BACK

“I want to give back to my beloved country. So, I will be making a monetary donation to the Maxfield Park Children’s Home, where I grew up,” Good declared with a smile.

But that’s not all. She explained that one lucky guest will win a book contract and another will leave the venue with an opportunity to study a three-month business course.
