Detoxing after the holiday

-

You must be ready to dig into the scrumptious meals that complement the festive season. In just a short space of time your palate will be engaging in some of the most delicious delights. Absolutely, when the Yuletide cheer is over your body will be needing a complete cleanse. This can be done naturally with these detoxifying foods.

WATER:

This is the first thing you should get when you’re thinking of a detox. Water flushes toxin and other impurities out of the body, making it feel anew. Adding fruits such as citrus, watermelon and cucumber is a great idea that can also boost the purging process.

AVOCADO:

These are surely delicious but also contain fat and fibre that keep your digestion flowing and cleanse the colon. This fruit also helps the liver rid itself of harmful substances.

GREEN LEAFY VEGETABLES:

Kale, broccoli, lettuce and spinach are some options. They are packed with fibre, minerals and vitamins A, B, C, E and K that promote detoxification. In addition, they are low in calories which can lead to weight loss.

NUTS AND SEEDS:

Walnuts, cashew, almonds are great options for nuts, while pumpkin, sesame and sunflower seeds make an excellent choice. Have them for a healthy snack as they help with the proper waste excretion.
