DIGITAL LASER Projection is the zenith of cinema projection technology. Just in time for the holidays, patrons at the iconic

Carib 5 in Cross Roads will now be able to enjoy major improvement in the cinematic experience, complete with image quality, exceptional 2D and 3D brightness, high contrast, uniformity, and superior colour performance.

Announcing this landmark technological input, the first ever in Jamaica, Palace Amusement’s Marketing Manager, Melanie Graham, says the digital laser projector is only being introduced at this time in Cinema 3, the largest of the auditoriums at Carib 5.

The holiday blockbuster Aquaman (3D) has been released in tandem with this new technology, according to Graham, and will go down in local cinema history as the first film to be shown via laser projection.

Aquaman (3D) will also play on additional screens at Carib 5, and Graham wants to assure patrons who cannot access Cinema 3 that they will still be able to enjoy the film in the high-quality 3D digital projection that they have been accustomed to.

She also explained that special increased prices have been introduced for Aquaman (3D) as the film has been highly anticipated and came at a premium. “Our Jamaican audiences are sophisticated and in step with the latest in the motion picture industry. As a company, we are constantly charged to deliver and we strive to do just that.”
