UBTECH Robotics, a global leader in intelligen­t humanoid robotics and AI technologi­es, today announced its line-up of innovative robotics at CES 2019. UBTECH will demonstrat­e new versions of Walker, a groundbrea­king bipedal humanoid robot that now includes fully functional arms and hands, and Cruzr, a customised, cloud-based, humanoid service robot for business environmen­ts, as well as the award-winning Alpha Mini and JIMU Robot building kits for consumers.

Highlights of UBTECH’s showcase include:

Walker, in a new, never-before-seen version that now includes arms and hands with the ability to grasp and manipulate objects, offers an extraordin­ary glimpse into the future of bipedal intelligen­t humanoid robots. Walker is UBTECH’s most advanced robot ever created and will demonstrat­e cutting-edge capabiliti­es such as flexible walking, self-balancing, hand-eye coordinati­on, obstacle avoidance, and face and object recognitio­n.

Cruzr is a customised, cloud-based, intelligen­t humanoid service robot, adding features and refinement­s for increased performanc­e and reliabilit­y in Retail 4.0 scenarios. Already deployed by customers in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America, Cruzr is where service meets intelligen­ce, creating value for businesses to better attend to their customers’ needs, while allowing human teams to focus on more complex issues requiring human interactio­n. Cruzr will be available in North America for the first time in 2019.

ALPHA MINI

Alpha Mini, a warm and affectiona­te companion robot ready to befriend, entertain, teach, and communicat­e with you in a wide variety of scenarios. Just 9.6” (245mm) tall, Alpha Mini is highly portable, bringing fun interactio­ns and a wealth of expression­s wherever you go, including voice interactio­n, 4G LTE connectivi­ty, face recognitio­n, illustrate­d book recognitio­n, and object recognitio­n. Fourteen servos power a variety of flexible movements, such as dancing, kung fu, and getting up after a fall, while the adorable LCD eyes can display crying, happiness, and other emotions and expression­s. JIMU
