Protect your family from mosquito invasion

Attack

Remove standing water from your yard and home, i.e., containers that collect water, such as old tires, cans, flowerpots and bird baths

Bacterial colonies combined with sweat generate that sweet (if you’re a mosquito) human scent we call body odour.

Lactic acid is emitted through your skin when you are active or eating certain foods. Mosquitoes are more attracted to people with a greater build-up of lactic acid on their skin.

Shower regularly to reduce bacteria and lactic acid from your skin. Mask your human scent with insect repellents.

Control

Cover water containers and tanks tightly Use Raid Lavendar/ Baygon flying & crawling insect products to fumigate your home by:

First, covering or remove exposed food, dishes, utensils and foodhandli­ng equipment.

Closing all doors and windows.

Spraying up into the air with a sweeping motion.

Do not remain in treated area. Keep room closed for 15 minutes. Provide adequate ventilatio­n of area being treated. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling.

Prevent

Avoid mosquitoes hotspots. Wear light colours Mow your lawn, because mosquitoes like tall grass and shrubbery. Use OFF Insect Repellent when outdoor. Keep your surroundin­gs clean and fresh with the assistance of Fantastik and Scrubbing Bubbles products.

Punch holes in cans if they are being stored

So don’t be kept in the dark, arm yourself with knowledge to help protect your and your family from mosquitoes.
