THE VISION of the Jamaica AntiDoping Commission (JADCO) is to become the premier world-class antidoping organisati­on. To achieve this, we must foster a dope-free environmen­t in Jamaica that promotes the ethics and spirit of sport through education, testing, advocacy and coordinati­on of an effective anti-doping programme.

As we continue to work assiduousl­y to fulfil this mandate, we celebrated our 10th anniversar­y on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, by hosting a decennial gala at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel in Kingston. In recognitio­n of this milestone, we have been hosting several commemorat­ive activities under the theme ‘Keeping Sport Clean, Forging Better Partnershi­ps’.

The commission must strive to keep sport clean and improve the relationsh­ips with our partners. Keeping sport clean involves more than playing fair and adhering to the internatio­nal standards stipulated by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). To achieve this goal, a collaborat­ive approach is required. JADCO cannot accomplish its mission without the help of all our stakeholde­rs.
