Stay in the process
EVERYONE AT every level and station in life has to go through a process. We start life as babies when we are born and go through the process of growth to adulthood. One of the meanings for the word ‘process’ is “a continuous action, operation, or series of changes taking place in a definite manner for a specific goal”.
So ultimately, process is part of the preparation to receive the promise or opportunity. Even further, God can and will use the process of hardship as part of your preparation in bringing you closer to His goal for you. It is during hard times that we begin to adapt to the environment around us and the survival instincts in us begin to come to the fore, that including living a healthier lifestyle.
We have heard the saying, “necessity is the mother of invention.” Oftentimes, it is necessity as a result of hardship that leads us to that healthier lifestyle. For example, because of the financial challenges you may face, you may find it easier on the pocket to buy limes and some sugar instead of a gallon of juice.
You can use the limes to make lemonade, which is a healthier option for you anyway, and it may stretch further than the gallon of juice you couldn’t afford. If you can’t even afford the sugar, lime in water is even healthier for you.
SOLUTIONS
During the process of hardship, greater solutions come forth. Revelations will come forth and furthermore, leadership and communication skills will come forth. Your greatest achievement comes during the time of processing. That is where you build your résumé .
The failure that we are currently experiencing globally is the result of many leaders at different levels being improperly processed. For some of the leaders in position, power was handed down to them and so they have not been through anything in life that would help them to understand the needs of the people: what it is to be poor, what it is to manage a family, injustice, no healthcare, sickness, and all the adversities of life that would help them to be more empathetic towards the people they lead. The difference between Saul and David is that Saul was not processed, but David was.
Nebuchadnezzar did not understand who God was and how to be humble until God gave him the revelation of what is was like to live among animals.
Many of the influential in society today don’t see God or the Spiritual well-being of a nation as relevant or important to the nation until they are broke, bankrupt, rejected or find themselves in a situation where they don’t see a way out – similar to the situation regarding the woman with the issue of blood. Only when there was no way out did God become relevant to her.
Sometimes the Lord has to allow you to go through pain and embarrassment for your view, philosophy and/or attitude to change.
A leader has to be broken before God can change and use him/her. Likewise, if someone is young, from a poor background and has achieved a great deal – academically or otherwise – they can do great harm to others, because as soon as they have power, they are going to function believing that it is their level of academic qualifications that elevated them.
Soon, they will begin depending on their own intellect rather than on God and what He has to say to them and, as such, lose the passion for helping their community and nation, and no longer feel the burden of the people. Never trust a politician who says, “I will.” Listen more to those who say, “With God’s help I will…” .
If you don’t go through the process, you will not fulfil the promise. Regardless of how talented you are, you can be called, but not chosen, anointed, but not appointed.
There are too many unprocessed leaders who are rising up in every sector – church, politics and business.
Unless they endure and yield to the process, they will become failures.
Any leader who believes that he/ she is more qualified or better able to lead a nation, a party, a ministry or an organisation of any kin without going though the process that prepares them to do so will fail.
Stay in the process.
