A notable milestone
AS OUR beloved alma mater, deCarteret College, celebrates its 100th year as an institution, I consider it an honour and a privilege to bring this message of congratulations on behalf of the past students of deCarteret College. It is indeed a remarkable milestone for one of Jamaica’s most revered and prestigious academic institutions.
Since its humble beginnings as a preparatory boys’ school in 1919, the school has undergone many changes. deCarteret College remains one of Jamaica’s leading institutions for the development of young minds, producing graduates who have gone on to be scholars, captains of industry, leaders in commerce, academia, and national sports representatives. deCarteret College is an institution that is steeped in history, tradition, and excellence, and its students continue that tradition as they exemplify well-rounded young men and women of sound moral character.
Our centenary celebrations are well under way and will culminate with our Grand Reunion during the week of July 4 to 7.
The Executive of the deCarteret College Alumni Association is working very hard to galvanise the support of all who have passed through its hallowed halls and have

In this our 100th year, let us all resolve to support the various growth initiatives currently under way, primarily the building of our Sixth Form College on the site of the ‘Old School’. Again, let me wish our beloved alma mater a happy100th birthday, and to the deCarteret College family, I say
