New on the local beauty scene is Eros Lippie Ja, and taking us behind the scenes is the owner of business, Trayceann Henry.
Henry is no stranger to business. In fact, her dedication and perseverance led her to acquire not just one job, but two. After the birth of her son, Carson, Henry decided to slow things down and become a stay-at-home mom. “That took some serious adjusting. The thought of becoming a small business owner was always on my mind, and having free time only heightened that process,” she told Flair. Henry received a beautiful beauty product as a gift from a
family friend overseas. Charmed by the rich colour and consistency, she began querying about where she could obtain the lippie on home soil. She was informed that he was the actual distributor and it was not available in Jamaica. That’s when it hit her: she could become the first Jamaican distributor.
“I asked him if I wanted to go into selling them retail out here, how would I go about that? We spoke about rates and he agreed to be my supplier. When opportunity comes knocking at my door, I answered it.”

Henry has only introduced 10 to the island: Magenta Love, Ocean Spice, Island Vibe, Darkness, Casual, Sexy Coco, Be Bold, Date Night, Bubblegum Pink, and Cianna Glow.
Since starting the business in February, she has received very positive and informative feedback from customers who have fallen head over heels in love with their lippies.
“Somebody said to me, ‘You found it!’ Sales were great initially but has since levelled off, so I’m planning to amplify promotions.”
Carnival season is well on its way and Henry is fully stocked with signature liquid lipsticks to match or pop your respective costumes.
