The National Inter-School Grade Chess Championships is sponsored by NCB Insurance for the second consecutive year.

The financial institution said that it saw a natural synergy with the event and that it was proud to be on board.

MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITIES

“NCB Insurance is always looking for meaningful opportunities to help our nation’s youth put their best lives forward. The National Grade Chess Championships is one such avenue as it brings together some of Jamaica’s brightest and most focused laser thinkers in one place over two days of intense competition,” said Anntonette Cowan-Palmer of NCB.

Event organiser National Master Mikhail Solomon said that he was pleased with the new venue at Mico and that he has great expectations.

“It will be a fun-filled event for players, parents and guardians. We expect to see the continued strong level of play that has become consistent at this event,” Solomon said.

Participants will include students ranging from kindergarten to grade 13, primarily from Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine, Clarendon, and Manchester.

“Last year, we came on board and have decided, through OMNI Educator, to continue the partnership this year. With these sharp young minds and OMNI Educator, Jamaica’s future is secure,” Cowan-Palmer added.
