Many more successful years

-

THE FIRE Prevention Division of the Jamaica Fire Brigade uses this medium to extend heartiest congratulations to Fire Equipment Sales and Services Limited (FESS) for delivering 40 years of premium-quality, fire-protection products and services to the people of Jamaica.

Over the years, FESS unreservedly synergised with us to ensure that Jamaica is fire safe by providing all the essential first aid firefighting equipment. The installation of smoke detectors, heat detectors and fire extinguishers results in early detections and fast responses to fires, which leads to the significant reduction of damages to property and the preservation of life.

For 2018, the Jamaica Fire Brigade responded to 1,158 residential fire calls and 368 commercial buildings calls. This vast disparity is evidence that more

emphasis is put into the preservation of our places of employment and very little on our places of abode. Applying a holistic, proactive approach to safety should be the new paradigm, as this can be the difference between life, death and homelessness.

The Jamaica Fire Brigade vehemently agrees with FESS in their slogan, ‘Don’t take chances, prevent fires’. We encourage the management of this organisation to continue to research and provide Jamaicans with reliable fire- and life-safety equipment and services. We wish for FESS many more successful years.
