Alveda King visits Jamaica to speak on human rights

- Fr Richard HoLung DIARY OF A GHETTO PRIEST

DR ALVEDA King, the niece of Martin Luther King Jr, comes to Kingston May 21, 2019. The spirit of Martin Luther King Jr lives in the hearts of people throughout the world. He is a man of God, a man chosen to serve God’s justice and peace for the poorest of people and the most oppressed. He preached, he organised, he marched and was martyred in the name of Jesus for his black people, and for what is righteous. I am glad that Missionaries of the Poor have walked in his footsteps.

Alveda King will speak on human rights in line with her uncle’s vision, Martin Luther King Jr. This time it will be on behalf of the most defenceless and persecuted of people – the unborn – the mother’s womb being the killing fields.

Martin Luther King’s spirit will live once again as Alveda speaks of the trap she fell into as a young black woman, the two abortions she had and her call for true freedom from sin and the human rights for little kids in the womb to be given a chance to live.

Here is the schedule of her visit to Jamaica.
