‘BRAND NEW Clarks ‘pon’ foot!’

Let’s face it, Jamaicans love Clarks and they aren’t going anywhere. Since the dawn of time we have always sought style as an avenue to make bold statements. And Clarks have always been a famous pick. If you look around the island, I bet you’ll see a pair or two in just mere seconds.

There is a special place in the freezer for Wallabee, Desert Boots, Weaver, Trigenic Flex, or Ashridge Walk. The reasons vary as to the privileged storing place but the guys will tell you that this will be to preserve the texture, and keep the form for ‘cheese bottom’. It is hard to say the most common but, undoubtedly, the Wallabee seems to be the local favourite. The moccasin construction and structural silhouette could very well be the reason it is so widely loved.

ABSOLUTE FAME

Clarks are known for their durability and comfortable fit – although this is sometimes very delayed as persons sometimes get them a size or two smaller than their feet. These statement boots have been here for decades, and if you love them as much as Drop Top Swag Shop boss, Rowan Melhado, you’ll agree that they are timeless.

Melhado has a Clarks haven in Half-Way Tree and Montego Bay. He hates it when folks make grave mistakes with their boots. For instance, not cleaning them right after you take them off or brushing the suede in the wrong direction.

He says there’s a pair for every occasion. There’s one for the office, casual styles for evenings and weekends, and let’s not forget the after-work lyme crew who need one that takes them from the job into an evening affair. Time to hit the red carpet? There’s even a classy pair that will turn heads for sure.

LET’S TALK MAINTENANCE

“Cleaning your Clarks is as easy as one, two, three. But depending on the material that is used to make the shoe, you’ll need a few things to get the job done. So, invest in a brush to remove the dust from the suede, a damp cloth or sponge to pat suede shoes, polish for your leather boots or active foam cleaner sprays,” Melhado said.

Don’t forget to dry in the open air, grab your favourite socks, and you’ll be all set. Shoes provided by: Drop Top Swag Shop
