Jamaica Automobile Association: KEEPING YOU MOBILE

THE JAMAICA Automobile Association (JAA) has partnered with several new car dealers, including Stewarts, ATL Automotive, and Magna. Once a car is purchased from the dealer, the customer receives a JAA membership (platinum package). The number of years varies based on the partnership agreement between each dealer and JAA; however, it goes up to five years for some vehicles.

Some of the membership benefits are listed below with a brief description.

The benefits of the platinum membership include:

■ Discounts islandwide from 150 partners (including Bert’s Auto, Tropical Batteries, Automotive Art, and many more).

■ 24/7 emergency roadside assistance islandwide (used for flat tyres, jump-starts, etc).

■ 24/7 security with roadside assistance – a security team responds until a JAA Agent arrives.

■ Vehicle document expiry reminder (texts, emails, to remind customers).

■ Renewal of vehicle registration by the JAA – (the organisation goes to the tax office and renews registration for the customer).

■ Vehicle fitness renewal (the JAA collects the vehicle, brings it to the depot for fitness, then returns it to the customer).

■ Fuel top-up twice per year of $500 in each instance. (Fuel is provided if the customer runs out).

■ Towing service – JAA covers $5,000 for the wrecker fee if the customers uses service.

■ Locksmith service – JAA covers $3,500 of fee if customer uses service.
