Rusea’s High School
welcomes Youthlink/Honey Bun High Achievers School Tour
IT FEATURED an eruption of screams, hypnotic talent, an environment charged with activity and synergy, and stellar moments. The Youthlink/Honey Bun High Achievers School Tour made its way to Lucea, Hanover, to Rusea’s High School to award 10 students for excellence and crown Dameka Fearon as the High Achiever. “Rusea’s is definitely among the highly engaging schools we’ve seen so far. I’ve felt their energy and I am truly captivated by how well the students not only participated, but how respectful they have been,” said popular media personality Cornelius Grant. “This year has been great so far, and we keep seeing where the trajectory goes up and beyond expectations. The Youthlink/Honey Bun High Achievers School Tour, hmmm … It is an undeniable fact that it is a well-received and wellloved school tour, and the purpose behind it is appreciated and inspiring. After all, it is a great thing to encourage and reward students who not just perform well, but perform well despite many disadvantages,” he continued. “I really enjoyed myself today; this tour has been a phenomenal experience!” said teacher Sheryl Baugh. “As an educator, I appreciate seeing students who consistently perform well being recognised and awarded for their efforts by the business
community. Today was a fun-filled day of drama and excitement. I particularly enjoyed the MC’s intelligence in understanding the students and his role as an adult entertainer,” Ms Baugh continued. “The team was organised and exercised good management in carrying out the event. I enjoyed the function very much and deem the event a success, as the goals that were set out were achieved. Awarding the students is an awesome thing to do, and the school population was educated through the Youthlink magazine, and we were entertained in a wholesome manner. Thanks for choosing our school, and we look forward to having you with us in the future!” she expressed.
Kodrene Dixon was elated when asked if she believed the event was a worthwhile experience for her and her friends, who posed beside her, eager to give their take on the day.
“This has been a very exciting experience for me! I really had a blast witnessing all the fun activities that were displayed, and this has been a WOW moment for many of my friends,” Kodrene said. “I’m happy that the team from Youthlink and Honey Bun came to my school and gave us such a momentous time of
joy and laughter. This was very worth it, indeed!” she finished.
“It did nice, especially the free things!” a female voice shouted from among the crowd.
This season’s tour is scheduled to run from mid-January until the end of February 2020, and is sponsored by Squeezz and Sparkling CranWATA.
