SVREL, Chukka to bring tourists to Caymanas Park
IN AN effort to increase its revenue, Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), through its parent company Supreme Ventures Limited, recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Chukka Adventure Tours, which will see tourists attending racing at Caymanas Park.
Lorna Gooden, general manager of SVREL, told The Gleaner that the partnership was signed by both parties last Thursday and that they were looking forward to forging a great relationship with Chukka Adventure.
“We will be going into the tourism aspect and bringing tourists here as a part of the destination of Chukka Adventure,” said Gooden.
“That is something that we have to look forward to in the future because this is going to be very massive for us as we look to expand our reach in the international market,” she added.
“It will involve bringing the tourists here, giving them the experience on the track, having an infield experience, and dining. We will also be having them interacting with a horse in the Winner’s Enclosure and going to the stable areas, and so we are looking into all of those possibilities,” Gooden shared.
She underlined that the partnership would also help to bring in more revenue into SVREL’s coffers as they look to make Caymanas Park known as a destination point in the tourism industry.
“It is a part of our plans to take Caymanas Park to the international market,” Gooden said.
“They are looking forward to this relationship that will be forged between Caymanas Park and Chukka to get the relationship going with bringing tourists here and possible reschooling and retooling horses that are retired into the Chukka Adventure Park, and so it is a relationship that will go both ways,” she stated.
