Trinityville cries for help

-

THE EDITOR, Madam:

I WAS born and raised inTrinityville, and lived there for 21 years now, all I can say is that the situation is getting worst. The route to get to the community is very challenging as taxi drivers, residents and visitors would always complain. We were promised good road infrastructure by successive governments and still yet we’ve come no where closer making this a reality.

Businesses had plans for the community but they could not stay to for them to be completed, this is because of poor road conditions and other issues.

Currently, the bridge at Font Hill still to be completed, because of various challenges. The bypass that was created is impassible whenever it rains, if you are out you have to stay out and if you are in you have to stay in.

I witnessed residents having to come to lift a dead body across the river because it wasn’t possible for the undertaking vehicle to reach the spot as it got stuck in the river. At one time there was another vehicle that got washed away in the floodwaters and there are more such incidents.

How long should we wait?We are tired of driving on river beds and risking our lives. We need to see some action being taken Prime Minister Andrew Holness. We are requesting some visits from the member of parliament, not only during election time but to come and build the necessary infrastructure. We can work together for the development of our community and our future.
