Let God be true but every man a liar

-

THE EDITOR, Madam:

IT IS with deep sadness and disgust we learned of the atrocities that took place in Montego Bay at the Pathway International “Kingdom Restoration Ministries”.

We deeply and sincerely sympathise with the victims and families of those who were allegedly killed and wounded by the savage acts of deceiver and wolf in sheep clothing Kevin Smith.

Many God-fearing individuals’, I presume, faith have now been shaken and I implore the powers that be to reach out with counselling and/or any other medium to support those affected. And our prayers are with them.

To those young men who were affected that I heard their testimony, one 18 years old and tthe other 26 years old, I am grieved as I consider that they have chosen the righteous path and not crime but have been so deceived and affected. I say continue to trust in Jesus Christ.

Indeed, there are many Kevin Smiths out there and, not because someone professes themselves to be a man or woman of God because of a few letters behind their names, means they are called and sent of God or by God. Many came on their own for satanic purposes.

A very important word of God that is overlooked greatly reads, “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” So I implore my brothers and sisters to open up your eyes and be acquainted with the word of God, because God is not the author of confusion, so as to identify the false “pastors, teachers, apostles, bishops, prophets and more so his excellency(ies). For they care not for you but their own ungodly interests.

It is vital to know God’s word for ourselves but it is scriptural to have an undershepherd (pastor). I pray nothing of this nature occurs again in this our Jamaica, and nowhere else for that matter.

Let God be true but every man a liar. God bless.
