ON WEDNESDAY, Waterhouse Football Club took the time out to recognise their sponsors during the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) fixture against Tivoli Gardens at the Drewsland Mini-Stadium.

Two of the sponsors, National Bakery and, the newest member on board, Spectrum Systems Limited, also took the opportunity to provide a combined total of $5 million to the club.

The other sponsors present included mother company Tank-Weld and long-time sponsor Dairy Industries.

A thankful club president Donovan White promised that there will be even more to come.

“We want to say thanks and recognise their (sponsors) contribution to what we are doing here. We are in the market looking for new opportunities for Waterhouse and will continue to do that, and there is more news to come in the coming weeks about some of the things that we are doing to improve the facilities.

“It will improve how we play and how we build and bring back our youth and female programmes,” he said.

Spectrum CEO and Managing Director Andrew Stanigar revealed that Tank-Weld Chairman and CEO Bruce Bicknell was instrumental in getting him on board, and he said his company is there to make a difference in the community and with the team.

“We operate in the Waterhouse area, on Spanish Town Road, and we are delighted to join the team and we will be a meaningful player,” he commented. “We are certainly l ooking forward to making a difference with the team and in the community in which we operate.”

Waterhouse General Manager, Kerry-Ann Robinson, said Spectrum is a great addition to the Waterhouse family and hailed Tank-Weld, National Bakery and Dairy Industries for their years of support.

“We extend our deepest appreciation to Tank-Weld Metals for being a pillar of strength and a crucial partner in our journey.

“Dairy Industries holds a special place in our hearts as they celebrate their 28th year of partnership with Waterhouse. Your enduring support has been instrumental in fostering the growth of our players, club, and broader community.

“A heartfelt thank you also to National Bakery for a decade of partnership. We are elated by the increased sponsorship to $2 million. This generous contribution will undoubtedly elevate our capabilities and help us reach new heights,” she said.

She added: “We are thrilled to welcome Spectrum Systems as our new sponsor. We express sincere gratitude for their significant $3-million sponsorship. This injection of support will empower us as we look ahead to the future.

“We are confident that with the continued support of our sponsors, Waterhouse Football Club will continue to thrive, providing a platform for talent to flourish and contributing positively to the social fabric of our community.”
