HAVING BURIED the hatchet with former dancehall artiste, Queenie, A’mari DJ Mona Lisa says she is calling for unity among females in and out of the music industry. According to the entertainer, she is horrified by the vicious attacks between females and she came close to tears after watching a viral video of a teenager being beaten by a group of women.

“I am really saddened by all that is going on. Just recently I saw where a 14-year-old was beaten by a group of women over a man situation. Months ago a mother and her child were murdered so I am calling for unity among women. We should not make men come between [us] and cause this division,” she said.

Amari told The Gleaner that she refuses to sit and watch in silence. As a result, she said she will be spending more time in Jamaica to mentor and steer females. She added that she will be showing off her humanitarian side and dedicating her time to unite women. It all begins with self-love she said.

“I do not like what I see, but I try not to say anything much about it. But I am going to do something about what’s going on. I am pleading with females to be strong. We have to know ourselves and be strong and courageous and you don’t have to fight for the love of someone if it is yours. Life isn’t about material things and falling in love, we have to prepare for the afterlife because that is where life all begins. I love my country and my people so the focus is to help in whatever way I can. My job is to let each and every woman knows how special and powerful they are,” Amari said.

Following their clash at Sting in 2022, Amari and Queenie went at each other’s throat for a few months. The two, however, talked over their differences and even shared a live on social media. Earlier this week, Amari met up with Queenie for the first time in person following their Sting appearance and she showed her love and admiration by planting a kiss on her lips. Her affection did not stopped there; she also playfully groped her breasts.

“We were always united in some way or the other because we know how to play the game to entertain the people on a stage like Sting. We have a bond and that is to bring happiness to the world and I have this genuine love for Queenie. At times we lashed out at each other, but we are two powerful devils, but God is bringing out the angelic in us and I do believe it is for a good reason,” Amari said.
