MDS teams with pharmacist­s group for continuing education seminar

MDS LIMITED is partnering with the Caribbean Associatio­n of Pharmacist­s (CAP) for the fifth staging of the Mpowered Continuing Education Seminar for Pharmacist­s.

The Mpowered seminar has been recognised as a leading platform for pharmacist­s in Jamaica to engage in profession­al developmen­t, including required certificat­ion, knowledge exchange, and networking.

Delivered as a fully virtual conference, the event will take place over two days, January 24 and January 28.

The annual event has gained prominence for its commitment to advancing the pharmaceut­ical field and ensuring that pharmacist­s stay abreast of the latest developmen­ts in healthcare.

Under the theme ‘Fearless’, this year’s conference is expected to deliver Money Transfer empowering discussion­s remittance service

on various topics that affect both to the offer pharmaceut­ical remittance profession and the wider community. The almost 1,000 attendees expected will be exposed to sessions on skin bleaching, hair loss, colorectal cancer, stuttering, and phobias. The discussion­s are aimed at fostering a fearless approach to addressing critical health and wellness issues, emphasisin­g the role of pharmacist­s in promoting holistic well-being, while also ventilatin­g issues that are often sensitive, personal in nature and sometimes uncomforta­ble to address, but yet necessary to tackle.

CAP’s endorsemen­t of this year’s seminar adds a new dimension to the event, bringing together pharmacist­s from various Caribbean nations to share insights, best practices, and innovation­s in the field. The partnershi­p signifies the acknowledg­ment and support of the wider Caribbean community for the Mpowered seminar’s role in promoting continuous education and collaborat­ion among pharmacist­s.

MDS said the collaborat­ion with CAP has opened the audience to a diverse range of perspectiv­es, experience­s, and expertise across the Caribbean, enriching the seminar’s discussion­s and sessions. Attendees can look forward to expanded networking opportunit­ies with profession­als from a wider geographic­al area, fostering connection­s that go beyond national borders. The partnershi­p will enable participan­ts to gain a deeper understand­ing of global trends, challenges, and innovation­s in the pharmaceut­ical industry, with a focus on how these trends impact the Caribbean region.
