Mayberry returns as S.W. Isaac-Henry Invitational sponsor
MAYBERRY INVESTMENTS has renewed its commitment as a sponsor for the upcoming S.W. Isaac-Henry Track & Field Invitational Meet.
Scheduled to unfold at the iconic National Stadium on February 17, the event is set to captivate audiences with its showcase of athletic prowess and the spirit of competition.
The S.W. Isaac-Henry Track & Field Invitational Meet, sanctioned by t he Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) and Inter-Secondary School Sports Association (ISSA), has become a key fixture on Jamaica’s sports calendar, serving as a crucial qualifier for the prestigious ISSA/ GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships.
This year, the event will include 60-metre races for both men and women.
According to Leroy Cooke, chairman of the meet, the addition of the 60 metres is strategic.
“This year, we are introducing the 60-metre race for seniors, recognising the evolving landscape of athletics. We aim to provide a platform for athletes to compete in this fast-paced event and showcase their speed and agility,” he said.
Desiree Wheeler, Maybettery Investments Limited’s senior marketing officer, said t he organisation was happy to renew its sponsorship, especially given the importance of the meet to development.

Anticipation is building for the showpiece, which will feature a total of 67 events, including 32 individual track events, 31 field events, three relays, and one mixed relay.
The event is also estimated to attract 2,000 athletes, predominantly from high schools, along with participants from colleges and track clubs.
