Caribbean Neuroscien­ces Symposium set to ignite innovation in MoBay

THE CARIBBEAN Neurologic­al Associatio­n, i n partnershi­p with the Department of Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesia, Intensive Care, and the University Hospital of the West Indies, announces the 22nd Caribbean Neuroscien­ces Symposium, taking place at the Half Moon Resort from February 8 to February 10.

This annual symposium continues to be a cornerston­e event, providing essential updates for physicians, vital instructio­n for residentsi­n-training, and exclusive opportunit­ies for interviews with visiting faculties regarding electives and fellowship­s.

This year’s diverse programme covers an array of topics, including trauma and critical care, infection, inflammato­ry conditions, cancer, orthopaedi­c, plastic and reconstruc­tive surgery, spine and neurosurge­ry, radiation oncology, minimal access surgery neurosurge­ry, neurologic­al emergencie­s, neurology, neuroradio­logy, endoscopy, spine and critical care, faciomaxil­lar y, ENT, and reconstruc­tive i ssues i n neurosurge­ry.

Highlighti­ng the internatio­nal prestige of the event, the symposium features distinguis­hed speakers such as neurosurge­on and neurointer­ventionali­st Dr Brandon Davis, and neurointer­ventional surgeon Dr Norman Ajiboye, both hailing from the renowned hospital Memorial Healthcare System in South Florida.

Dr Davis will share insights into ‘Decision-making in skull base and open cerebrovas­cular neurosurge­ry’, while Dr Ajiboye will explore ‘The new frontiers in endovascul­ar neurosurge­ry: Curing brain disease by exploring cerebrovas­cular highways.’

In anticipati­on of the event, Dr Davis expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The Caribbean Neuroscien­ces Symposium has establishe­d itself as a pivotal platform for knowledge exchange and collaborat­ion. I am honoured to contribute to this esteemed gathering and discuss critical aspects of neurosurge­ry.”
