Vision board workshop inspires high school students in Montego Bay
OVER 100 young women from various high schools engaged in a day of empowerment and inspiration at a vision board workshop last Saturday, organised by We Inspire Girls in partnership with Serge at the Hyatt Ziva in Montego Bay.
Cortia Bingham McKenzie, the founder of We Inspire Girls, happily led the session, stating, “We were graced with dynamic speakers and delectable food, and the Hyatt truly outdid themselves. Today, we rejoiced in the power of God’s work, encapsulated in our theme, ‘What God Did!’ We aim to empower these young women to shine with unwavering determination.” She added, “We aspire for these girls to learn the art of crafting clear visions, leading lives of impact, and contributing to the betterment of our nation.”
Shakeila Cummings, an enthusiastic high school student at the workshop, conveyed her appreciation, stating: “I gained invaluable insights. It was truly enlightening. No matter our challenges, we have the strength to overcome.”
Delivering an inspiring message to the girls, Camille Moore, brand manager for Serge Dairies, said, “Believe in yourselves. Embrace your journey and let your faith guide you toward your aspirations. You are destined for greatness. And remember, great minds drink milk!”
The vision board workshop marks the beginning of a series of events hosted by Bingham McKenzie throughout the year.
She stated that the first event workshop was intended to set the right tone for the year. Other participants of the workshop came from schools such as Spot Valley High, Merlene Ottey High, Cambridge High, Anchovy High, Mount Alvernia High, Montego Bay High, and St James High.
