WHEN TWO hearts find each other, no time is too long to celebrate the magical connection. While at entrepreneurship camp, Teeah Anderson’s eyes caught the handsome stranger in the corner of the room. The man of mystery, O’Neil Grant, couldn’t help but notice her effervescent light shining in his direction.

“Wemetat Yaneek Page’s University of West Indies’ entrepreneurial camp in the summer of 2011. When I first saw him, I thought, ‘Why is he so mysterious?’ He was the only one on the other side of the lecture theatre, sitting inside with sunglasses on,” the makeup artist told Island Wedding.

O’Neil recalled falling in love with her hair initially, “...only to find out it was a weave a few weeks later,” the photographer, who was working at the event, said with a laugh

After a few weeks of getting to know each other, sparks flew, inspiring O’Neil to courageously ask Teeah to be his girlfriend. The memorable phone call became a cherished moment that would stay with him forever.

Since embarking on this love journey, Teeah continued to be captivated by O’Neil’s charm and wit, as well as his handsome, hilarious and mysterious ways.

“O’Neil is my North Star. He met me at a point in my life where not much was certain and as young as I was, I had to learn quickly how to figure things out. He was always the calm to my storm and knew how to handle my quirky personality. O’Neil is a pretty straightforward guy; he’s the one that keeps the relationship necessarily grounded,” she revealed.

Flowing with the ocean of romance, O’Neil is amazed by Teeah’s ambition and drive. She is stunning and according to him, she has a gentle and crazy side.

“I love that we allowed our emotions and how we felt about each other to guide us.We are always on this continuous path of growing and evolving both as individuals and as a couple. We keep each other accountable and ensure that we can both cross the finish line together and on the same page.”

Though he sensed she was the one from the start, Teeah’s realisation of forever in love came during their time apart.

“There was a point in time when we broke up for about three months. It was the worst experience; 10 out of 10, I would not recommend. It wasn’t even over anything serious either so when we came to our senses, we ended our mutual suffering and continued in love,” she highlighted.

The pair are big fans of adventure. There’s nothing better than escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy each other’s company.

With ‘baecations’ consistently at the top of their annual to-do list, it was no shock when O’Neil arranged a trip for two. However, what she didn’t anticipate was an even grander gesture that would set ablaze her path to becoming Mrs Grant.

“I told her we were going on another vacation. This was two months after our last vacation. We had just wrapped up the busy summer season so we definitely needed the break. We went to Iberostar for four nights. I had arranged a private dinner on the beach,” he explained.

While dining under the pavilion, light-hearted chatter and laughter filled the air. And then everything changed during dessert. The waiter brought a chocolate brownie with the sweetest topping. “When I saw a ring neatly poised on a chocolate dessert, I lost my mind,” Teeah, who said yes to the proposal, added.

First on the nuptial agenda was securing an experienced wedding planner. Working in the beauty industry, she enlisted her friend and expert wedding planner Chloe DaCosta. Friends and family also pitched in to help.

On July 15, 2023, surrounded by lush greenery at Hope Gardens, the breathtaking bride immediately turned heads as she walked the runway in an original and gorgeous bridal couture. This, of course, stirred up a sea of emotions of her dapper groom and specially invited guests, who were happy to audibly and visually witness this declaration and culmination of unwavering love.

As the cloud smiled with the afternoon sun, the couple got intimate as they exchanged vows and officially became husband and wife..“The best moment was saying ‘I do’ because he’s now legally mine,” the bride said with a laugh.

The festivities continued with a spirited reception in a luxury event tent set on the lawns of the Chinese Gardens. “The wedding was amazing, everything was perfect. The highlight of the night for me was giving the groom’s remarks and saying the words ‘on behalf of my wife and I’,” the groom added.
