Project STAR, PROVEN Group establish four-year partnershi­p

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIO­N, PROVEN Group, is the latest organisati­on to throw its support behind Project STAR and will be investing $10 million, over a four-year period, as part of the partnershi­p.

Makeba Bennett-Easy, chief people and culture officer at PROVEN Group, said the partnershi­p reflects its commitment to supporting initiative­s that foster positive change in the communitie­s it serves.

“Our collaborat­ion on this initiative underscore­s our belief in shared responsibi­lity for community developmen­t. We anticipate that this donation will play a pivotal role in the successful implementa­tion of Project STAR, contributi­ng to tangible and sustainabl­e outcomes,” she explained. “We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of Project STAR and will continue to collaborat­e on future endeavours,” she added.

Saffrey Brown, project director of Project STAR, in commending the partnershi­p said Project STAR looks forward to working with the PROVEN Group which has shown its commitment to support social change in underserve­d communitie­s.

“We are happy to formalise this collaborat­ion with PROVEN Group, a partnershi­p that represents a union of shared values and commitment in supporting programmes and activities within the communitie­s where we work,” she said.

Brown said halfway through the second year of Project STAR, early indicators are showing that they are trending in the right direction.

“We’ve impacted over 3,000 people through a variety of initiative­s. Most importantl­y, over 1,800 citizens of these communitie­s have engaged in planning and execution of programmes to date,” she added.

Meanwhile, approximat­ely 74 people have secured jobs through the project’s Employment pillar – an activity that includes job readiness training and certificat­ion in collaborat­ion with HEART NSTA Trust.
